(If some of you read this earlier...or tried to! :) ...I'm sorry! We were out of town and I was trying to type this going back and forth between email and blog on my tablet and missed a lot of mistakes!...Now that we're home, I have been able to edit and repair my damage! Thanks for your patience! Lacee's Mom)
Well, first let's get the sad news outta the way...Kitigawa San dropped us. After my other companion left, he didn't show much interest. Even though he had previously committed to baptism we got an email this week telling us he no longer wanted to meet with us and had chosen to not get baptized. I cried. My mission is turning me into a baby! I had such a sad feeling. But people have their agency, and unfortunately some don't make the right choice, huh? I have wondered what I could have done differently and if I could have done something that would have helped him continue to progress and be baptized.
We went to visit Baba San. We also asked some people in the ward to write notes to her. We took them to her, and just chatted with her and checked on how she was doing. She's not doing well so we can't teach her still. I haven't given up on her! She's going to get better, then she's going to get baptized!
Other than that, we have been doing a lot of finding...we need to find some new investigators. I'm ready to have people to teach, prepare, and baptize!
I am so excited that Willis Choro (Elder Willis) is in my district! He has had a lot of tough stuff on his mission, but he got through it, and now he's training! He's so great! Wow! These 18 year old boys are seriously amazing! They are awesome examples!
We had three less active members at church! Whaaa?? So cool! (The glad news!)
I also tried something new this week...squid jerky...it was not that good! :P
Thank you all so much for your love and support!
