Fujisaki...Take 3

Well...I am still in the lovely city of Fukuoka...Fujisaki Take 3 (her third set of transfer weeks in Fujisaki)...Our apartment mates stayed and stayed together, but Kuroki Shimai transferred.  I'm SAD!
:(  Things were going so well.  So I have a new companion.  She is also Nihonjin (Japanese).  She hasn't finished her training, so I will be finishing her training and breaking her in.  We may have a small communication problem, though.  She doesn't speak much English...and my Japanese is still...meh...

But this week was kind of crazy with transfers and New Years.  We went to the Watanabe family's house for New Year's dinner.  We were going to eat soba (a kind of buckwheat noodle...a Japanese tradition) but we ran out of time, and we had to go home.  But we did try about 7 different kinds of sashimi (raw fish eaten with soy sauce and wasabi paste).

We got a box of traditional Shogatsu (New Year's) food from a lady in the ward.  I tried everything.  I have tried everything anyone has offered me (as long as it doesn't break the Word of Wisdom).  Some is really great...some is not!

Thursday we were pretty much at Hakata Eki (train station) all day.  We had to drop off Kuroki Shimai and wait for Mori Shimai (my new companion) to come.  It was fun hanging out with all the missionaries though.  I got to see so many people!  It was way fun! By the way, my new ZL and DL are awesome!  My new ZL (zone leader) is from Australia and hilarious.  My new DL (district leader) is pretty sarcastic and chill.  I think we'll get along well!  :)  He's gonna play basketball at the U of U when he gets home.

Baba san is still sick.  We also haven't heard from Kitigawa san since Kuroki Shimai left.  He wanted to meet with us before she left.  So we met.  He prayed!!!  It was awesome!  I am a little concerned that we might not hear from him since she left.  We'll see.

Other than that, just your typical week of lots of streeting and housing.  This coming week we have ZTM (zone training meeting).  Yay!!!  I love zone meetings!

Love you all!
