Playing CATCH-UP!

Lacee's mom is slacking!  Actually we were at Spring Training and visiting with family in Phoenix for the past 10 days and the wi-fi connection was incredibly bad, so I decided to just wait until we got home and update all of you!  Thanks for your patience!

Sunday March 2nd

Well, first off, my "bean" has decided to stay.  So that is GOOD!  It's been going pretty good, I think.  We have been working a lot with a less active member.  She loves me.  I don't know why, but she seriously does.  She finally told me what happened that made her stop going to church!  So, we're getting it worked out.  She wanted to talk to Gustafson Shimai (the mission mom) about it, so I got an appointment and we went to Fukuoka with her.  Nigh Shimai and I went along to help translate (because Gustafson Shimai doesn't speak a lot of Japanese).  We ended up not needing to do much translating because another sister that works at the Honbu (mission office) helped, but it was super good!  Gustafson Shimai is one of the most amazing people in the entire world!  She made this less active sister feel SO much better about things, and now they are just getting better and better.  I am pretty sure she will be back to full activity this month!  She told me that she should be able to come to church starting next week, and that she would try to come every week!  I'm way excited!  She's so ready to come back to church!

Also, we did a volunteer activity for a lady in the ward.  It went really well, but the best part was that we met a super awesome Chinese lady!!!  She is way cute and speaks better English than Japanese, so we were speaking in English!  YAY!  She doesn't have really any religious background since she is from China, but she said that she is interested in religion.  Woohoo!  So I told her what we were doing and that we would love to teach her about our church.  And guess what??!!  She said she would love to learn and to meet with us!  She's busy looking for a house and a job right now, but later in the month she said she could meet with us.  We have her phone number and her email address, so it's totally going to happen!  :)

Other than that, I have been kinda sick.  I'm taking like five different kinds of medication right now.  Ya, but that's pretty neat, huh?  I just wear a mask and "dendo" (work) anyway.  Suckin' it up!  The mission nurse is not super excited about that one, but there's not much she can do!  :)

Baba san is slowly getting better, so we hope to meet with her again soon, and she can start coming back to church.  We also have another family that we hope to meet with this week too!

Hopefully we'll be able to find some of those prepared people who are just waiting to hear the Gospel!  I love Japan!  I love the Gospel!  I love this work!  Have a great week!

LOVE YOU ALL!!!
